Our vision is to elect more Aboriginal political leaders who address the concerns and priorities of First Nations and Métis people, who are part of the decision-making, policy creating and governing body of our province under an NDP Government.

"Involving Aboriginal people at all political levels of the New Democratic Party including constituency executives," is one of the 5 objectives stated in the ANDS Report "Enhancing the role of Aboriginal People in Saskatchewan Politics through the New Democratic Party." The process to achieving this objective, is by "building strong relationships" with First Nations and Métis people.

The Aboriginal New Democrats have been busy building these relationships through a number of workshops across the province in Saskatoon, Regina, Prince Albert and Battleford. These workshops serve to connect First Nations, Métis people and students with elected officials, candidates and constituency members, provide better understanding of Aboriginal issues by party members, and for Aboriginal people, better understanding of party policies and processes, and election planning.
