Biography
Cam Broten was elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Saskatoon Massey Place in 2007 and re-elected in 2011.
Over the last four years, Cam worked to advance many important issues, including high-quality health care; top-notch education and childcare; a clean environment; affordable housing; and safe neighbourhoods.
Cam was recognized as an effective MLA and a strong voice for Saskatchewan families. He was voted the Best Saskatoon MLA in the Best of Saskatoon contest (Planet S, 10/21/2010). As well, a columnist noted Cam's passion and diligence and said he doesn't take the easy route of scoring cheap political points, but instead strives to do the right thing (The StarPhoenix, 6/5/2010).
Prior to being elected as an MLA, Cam worked as a health policy manager for the Saskatchewan Medical Association and a policy analyst with Saskatchewan Culture, Youth and Recreation. He earned an International Studies degree at the University of Saskatchewan and a Master's degree in Political Science at Simon Fraser University.
