Agenda

Convention events start Friday at 1:00pm. Saturday runs from 9:00am to 5:00pm, and Sunday starts at 9:30am and adjourns at noon. Over the three days, we'll have training workshops, great discussion & debate about ideas, keynote speeches, and elections. There will be social events on Friday and Saturday evenings following the convention. Stay tuned for the detailed agenda in mid-September!

Accommodation

Delegates are responsible for their own hotel bookings and costs. Group rates have been arranged at several Saskatoon hotels. See the rates and make your bookings at www.saskndp.ca/hotels2025.

Child Care

We will be providing complimentary child care to those who require it during daytime events at Convention. Please fill out the registration form and email it to [email protected] to reserve a spot for your young New Democrats and future NDP voters. Please get your requests in early so we can make sure we have enough spaces.

Membership

Delegates and observers need a 2025 NDP membership. Make sure you renew if you need to.

Election to Provincial Executive?

If you are considering running for Provincial Executive, there are currently four types of role up for election at Convention 2025:

• President: 1 position for a 2-year term
• Treasurer: 1 position for a 1-year term
• Vice President: 2 positions for a 2-year term and 2 positions for a 1-year term*
• Member at Large: 3 positions for a 2-year term and 2 positions for a 1-year term*

* The candidates receiving the most votes will be elected to the 2-year terms; the candidates with the next most votes will be elected to the 1-year terms.

If you wish to nominate a candidate to run for Provincial Executive at Convention, the nomination form is available at https://www.saskndp.ca/forms2025.

Nominated Candidates who wish to begin campaigning for election can use the Provincial Council list (available on Campaign Central). Nominated Candidates will also receive access to Convention delegate lists after early-bird registration closes on September 3rd.

There are a number of other positions that get elected at or around Convention. Individual Wings and Committees of the party elect their executives and Provincial Executive reps either at their own Annual Meetings, or at Caucuses on Friday and Saturday at Provincial Convention. The SYND elected a Youth Vice-President to the Party at their convention earlier this year. Labour delegates will elect a Labour Vice President to the Party at the Labour Caucus on Saturday of Convention. Have questions? Email [email protected] for help.
